Sorry for the late response. I can confirm none of the nav options (Factory Nav/Android Auto/Carplay (13.3 & 14.3 Beta 1) show the directions in the older analog style cluster. So it seems digital cluster will be needed. I've been meaning to get one but the price is still a bit high for me...

I was under the impression that we get directions from google maps using android auto in the little LCD in the analog instrument cluster. I have tried both android auto and carplay (latest versions) and there's nothing showing up.. Is that only for digital cluster? I'll try out the beta...
