  1. Preparation for HPDE

Sold my car and bought a C5 Z06 to cage. Didn't want to cut up a brand new car. Parts are on ebay now. http://www.ebay.com/itm/322322991869?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  2. Once again, anyone selling track pads for this car yet?

Thanks! Thanks and who did you buy from?
  3. Once again, anyone selling track pads for this car yet?

If you are a vendor or if you have leads hit me up. I can't believe no one I making pads yet. Thanks!
  4. My new wheels from N4S

The problem with this car is the the side, the 3/4, and the rear views are awesome but the front end still is just too big and ugly. I hate that and there is no getting around it...It's like it sticks out too far and is too high at the front....The "shark gill" lights are pretty tacky as well...
  5. My new wheels from N4S

    Sure -
  6. My new wheels from N4S

It may look nicer with different wheel diameters but remember it's an HPDE setup. It's main purpose is to get the most money out of the tires. This will be achieved by rotating the tires all the way around the vehicle to conserve tire life and maximize the wear patterns. I need an alignment...

  8. My new wheels from N4S

Wow I know - so glad the color worked, I edited the first post but 18x10 and 295/35/18 Actually TOYO Proxxes 295/35/18 Steeda Linear Springs Thanks guys! A few track weekends and I'll get to change them out. It's funny, they look sort of small and skinny but at the same time they have an...
  9. My new wheels from N4S

Specs - Forgestar CF5 - Bronze Burst - 18x10 square Steeda Linear Springs with 1" drop TOYO Proxxes R888 295/35 R18 Maximum Motorsports camber plates We installed these wheels and springs yesterday so the springs still need to settle some. I rolled the dice using Bronze Burst on a silver...
  10. 18X10 square setup (and tires)

Any opinions on the best safe/light set of wheels for a square setup? Tire opinions for track use only? Vendors feel free to contact me. What's wrong with these wheels and what are "drift" wheels...
  11. Preparation for HPDE

After much thought on the weekend I realized that on the last HPDE in my GTI I did trail brake to get the car to rotate on Turn 16. Seems like I was doing this last weekend but I can't be sure. It's quite the dance on that turn while trying to brake, downshift, hit the corner just right, etc...
  12. Preparation for HPDE

http://www.hypermotive.com/brakes-19/ According to my best friend who is a 25 year Ford Service tech the brake fluid is already DOT4 so I didn't swap out. this could be bad info and someone may correct me but I had no troubles last weekend and I didn't swap out. I will swap out before the next...
  13. Preparation for HPDE

So I made it to the first HPDE at Barber's Motorsports Park. It was a 2 day event with 8 sessions total for around 20 - 30 minutes. This was a local PCA event where they let everyone come out. This is only my second event so I ran Group 2 out of 5 groups. Group 2 is just a step above newbie...
  14. Brake cooling

Had my first track weekend at Barber's and I'm brutal on brakes. I had Hawk Dtc pads on and we did 25 to 30 miles sessions. Never had a brake fade issue. Well maybe once but that one might just be in my head. Of course the high was around 60 today so when summer comes it may be a different story.
  15. Is anyone gonna buy one used or CPO?

Patience young Jedi. There's a reason I was always pissed at the old bald men driving Porsches. There are the spoiled (lucky) rich kids and those of us that had to earn it. I'm very blessed but for more than a decade I worked most Saturdays and many Sundays (60-80 hour weeks). I'm still raising...
