Race Red GT was me. Saw yours and the Magnetic as I left (heard the Magnetic drive off and had a mean growl to it). Take the kids swimming every Sunday morning there and never seen another Mustang so it was a nice surprise.:D
  2. Mustang Fault: Clutch Position Sensor

I had the same issue on my car which I a December 2015 build. Happened a few weeks before the 3000km check and I thought my battery had died. Funny thing was that it started with a jump start! It was changed at that first service and have not had any problems since.
  3. Aussie Exhausts

Just want to say a big thank you to Fred from Vogtland Suspension. Took me for a spin in his Borla S Type equipped Mustang and this sealed the deal for me. I fitted the exhaust yesterday (Saturday) and haven't been able to get the smile off my face ever since. Sounds great under acceleration and...
  4. MY18 headlights

Has anyone looked at whether the MY18 headlights will retrofit onto the 15-17 models? That way we can finally get the DRLS working as originally intended.
  5. Australian Mustang Recall

Had my car in for it's 12/12 service and fix a few odds and ends. Rang the service guy earlier today and asked him about this recall and he thanked me for reminding him and added it to the service.
  6. Aussie Exhausts

Still on stock exhaust but am interested in the Ford Racing cat backs. Interested to know what this one sounds like as there is supposed to be a difference between the Borla S type and this one. Where did you order yours from? Also, please post a video if possible after you install it. Thanks.
  7. "ACC" / "On" mode?

Do you mean they go up if you press the window up button.? For a moment I thought your windows went up automatically when you switched your engine off. Another cool feature I didn't know about.............
  8. Holden/HSV converted to Ford Mustang

My brother has a Roaring 40's GT40 with a 5.0 litre Windsor engine. He built it himself over 10 years ago and I have driven it as well. Amazing cars and the engine with the bundle of snakes exhaust just over your shoulder is an amazing experience. I can imagine the Coyote engine (with a...
  9. Bonnet hood pinch fix?

All cars are 'missing' a nut on the right side. It comes like that from stock and no need to replace it. Adjusted mine soon after delivery but even with full adjustment there is still some minor pinching. Doesn't bother me in the slightest however.:)

Saw a Ruby Red ?GT traveling north along Warrigal Rd in Chadstone this morning. Custom Victorian Mustang plate - 7DEMON. Anyone on this forum?
  11. Recommended Oil Grade/Specification

I wouldn't trust what the dealer told me about what the factory does. A lot of them are full of sh*!. Most factories which build engines will test the odd engine and run it in to make sure that there are no production errors, etc but most engines are built, filled with oil and put into the cars...
  12. Recommended Oil Grade/Specification

I wouldn't be using even 100km used oil from a new engine that was being broken in. This is oil that contains very small metallic pieces from the engine breaking in, i.e. oil ring particles as they start to wear into their bores. This oil should be changed within the first few hundred km's of...
  13. Break-in technique

I actually changed the oil after ~200 km (it was actually quite dark), and replaced it with mineral oil (5W-30) as per the Ford Australia specifications. Have done just over 2000km and will let Ford dealer change it at the 3000km check.
  14. Break-in technique

http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm This is how I have broken in my last 2 new cars and motor bike and they all go/went very well with no oil use. Some people may feel scared to do what they recommend but I have not had any problems and the vehicles have had lots of power and went...
  15. Oz S550 spotted thread

Spotted black fastback (MYGT50) traveling east on North Rd Brighton at about 3.40 pm (turned south onto Nepean Hwy, I kept going east along North Rd). The black looks good from the back and it was one of the colours I considered before choosing race red.
