The sensors are still available on tire rack: GT350 TPMS
I’m not sure about the separate black metal valve stems as you have to call a sales rep to order those. I just stick with the metal valve stem that comes with the sensor as the black ones didn’t make much of a visual difference on the car.
Decided to pull the trigger on the Goodyear Supercar 3R just to try. TireRack has 2016 production discounted to $212 with Goodyear offering an additional $75 mail in rebate. Pricing was at a good point to at least try them.
Hmm, I was going to go to Pitt July 4-5, but signed up for VIR with Chin that weekend instead (saves some PTO). I’ll be there later in July with NASA and again in September for Carfest.
Anyone try the Nankang AR-1 yet? I’m back to looking for tires again. Tempted to do something crazy. Intrigued by the Goodyear Supercar 3 and 3R as well given the cost.
Though I might just stick with the 315/30/19 Cup2s as they’re close to the cost of RE-71R at this point.
Another option is Tire Rack at $32/per. You can also get black chrome metal valve stems which look good with the MSI wheel studs...
My post from another forum:
Pulled the car into the new to us 24’ trailer for the first time. Knew it would be tight after using a borrowed open trailer for past year, but those walls and spare tire location (on the floor in the rear) make it even more nerve racking. :whew:
