I think I am good to go now! Mine was the american muscle version so no gasket material or anything like that. I installed it initially, ran it through a car was and it was fine. I got a little crazy, yanked it back off and sealed the unused holes with DAP door and window caulk. Should be good...
Hi all,
I just installed a new spoiler - I went with the AM gt350 track pack style. Overall I think it's a very nice looking addition to my car and the look I wanted, however I think the quality is a little lacking. The double sided tape it came with was very low quality (not 3m) and it came...
Yeah I had torn out my rear interior out a few times and still couldn't fix it. After about a month of messing with it I was going crazy and started banging on the outside of the panel and listening for a rattle. I guess after taking apart the inside so many times I was ready to go after the...
I did it a year ago so my memory is a little foggy... But I remember where my rock was right in the middle. Once you get in there it is easy to pry the splash guard around. There are a few plastic push pins that hold it on, I did not have to remove those to get the rock out.
Tonight when I...
Nice write up! I found myself in a similar situation last spring g and it drove me insane. I spent a whole bunch of time insulating like you did.
I ended up finding my rattle came from a rock wedged inside the rear wheel well. It got stuck up between the splash guard in the well and the metal...
Hi Everyone,
As the title states, this is a question for those that live in NY. I am looking to put a simple axle back exhaust system on my 2015 ecoboost. For those who live in NY and have done exhaust mods can you please provide insight on the following:
Annual state inspections - will i...
Let’s see that fronty!! We have a 14 SV that’s used as our grocery getter and snow mobile- the thing is a beast! Did you install an amp when you replaced the door speakers?
Hi All,
I have a 2014 Nissan Frontier in the garage that will be used for my winter commutes. I wired up a 20' LED light bar in the lower grille.
My problem is that the switch has a red wire that needs power. The wiring diagram that came with it said to wire it straight to the battery. I...
I am still under warranty, I am going to try to pad it myself one more time before I take it in, just because of the hassle it is to go to the dealer for something like this. But if I can't fix it I'm taking it in.
Do you happen to know where your dealer padded yours? Just where the air bag...
Sorry to bring this thread back to life but I am having a hard time getting my car rattle free and I'm sure there are others with the same problem. I have done just about everything that is listed in this thread. I have insulated the clips, foam pieces, behind the metal bar that holds the...
Correct, no android auto or CarPlay. The nav app on the unit is what you have to use, although I think it works pretty well. For long trips I do use my Garmin just to be safe. The tomtop is not a premium unit but for $200 I can't complain!
I've had mine installed since may. I like it a lot and a definite improvement over the stock 4" unit. Mine is not buggy or glitchy (knock on wood). The nav feature works well and installation was not too hard. For $200 I think it's a good unit and I'd recommend
Yes I couldn't believe it either. I've never driven on gravel. I am in Syracuse NY, the cars never seen salt but I guess our roads really are bad!
Are there any pre-cut clear bra products out there that I could put on myself? I've searched a little and can't come up with anything.
Hello,
I have a ruby red ecoboost with about 18k on it. I have started to notice some pretty serious paint chipping in front on the rear wheel wells. I first noticed it a couple weeks ago and didn't think much of it, but now it's gotten worse. Attached is a pic of the drivers side.
Does...
