  1. New Jersey OEM License Plate Bracket $250.00

Dang it - I missed the sale. Here in the People's Republic of Illinois, those are known as "speed laser targets" or "revenue enhancement tools."
  2. Has anyone owned an R first, and went to a non-R?

Depends on circumstances and your needs. In late '16, I was unable to find an R, but did find a great deal at an out-of-the way dealership on what at the time was referred to as a base track-pack 2017 non-R. As others have pointed out, I wanted an R and kept looking. With the help of...
  3. Trailer for your S550

If there's not an incline where I park, I just use the tongue jack to lift the front of the trailer a bit (while it's still hooked to my truck). I leave the winch connected to the V strap under the car when towing, so all I have to do to unload is undo the wheel straps and use the winch remote...
  4. Obsolescence to Obsession – Tales of the Rented Mule (FPRS GT350 Track Attack #14)

There's a pretty detailed thread on the oil cross-over lines here.... https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/head-oil-balance-lines-archetype-or-mmr.167958/ The OEM version on the FP350S engine first appears in a Honeybadger comment at post #15. The Bill of Materials for the FP350S is...
  5. Obsolescence to Obsession – Tales of the Rented Mule (FPRS GT350 Track Attack #14)

Hey Dave - Those oil tubes are on my list of planned upgrades, but I haven't done it just yet. There are a couple of ways of going about this, including the purchase of the pre-fab'd flexible version available from Archetype Racing. I think I prefer the hardline solution with the high spot...
  6. Track Attack cars for sale?

Well - there's this registry, but not complete..... https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/fprs-gt350-track-attack-program-car-registry.168814/page-3#post-3699534 And, there's my story on life with #14, the Rented Mule...
  7. PSA - Ford Performance Racing School Mustang GT Student Cars Now Available

No, they are full cages (sans door bars) that are welded in - note the "A" pillar bars in the below pic. The Track Attack cars (GT350, GT500, and Mach 1) all use the bolt-in 4-point Watson rollbar. Tommy can give more details.
  8. PSA - Ford Performance Racing School Mustang GT Student Cars Now Available

I went to the local Ford dealer with the VIN and a 12-pack of Spotted Cow and came home with a fifteen page OASIS report on the Mule.
  9. PSA - Ford Performance Racing School Mustang GT Student Cars Now Available

Yep - Just like the Rented Mule (Former FPRS GT350 #14). In fact, the Mule continues to be rode hard - here we are at this year's TireRack / Grassroots Motorsports Ultimate Track Car Challenge...... And here's this past season's tour t-shirt (note the tour name and shirt color; in honor of a...
  10. FPRS Selling Off the S550 Mustang GT Student Cars

For anyone looking for a great start on building a track car, here's a link to what I just posted on the General S550 Forum..... https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/psa-ford-performance-racing-school-mustang-gt-student-cars-now-available.193905/
  11. PSA - Ford Performance Racing School Mustang GT Student Cars Now Available

Hi All - As the caretaker of one of the FPRS GT350s, I thought I'd pass along a bit of news I received from Tommy Rhinehart at the school earlier today. They are now selling the Mustang GT student cars. Sounds like they're all the same price - $25k. I don't know how many they have for sale...
  12. Obsolescence to Obsession – Tales of the Rented Mule (FPRS GT350 Track Attack #14)

Fear not, my friend, the '73 Z28 LS7 swap project is back on the front burner for the winter. I hate to sully the Mule's spotlight, but here are some current pics.
  13. Obsolescence to Obsession – Tales of the Rented Mule (FPRS GT350 Track Attack #14)

As everything around the stable settles into winter configuration, I thought I'd post a pic of a recent acquisition. Thanks, once again, to Mrs. Muligan, the Mule now has some sexy satin jammies for hibernation.......
  14. Total Loss Insurance Co Issues.

Just throwing this out there - I think it was in either '17 or '18 when the fourth digit in the VIN on all R models was changed from a "T" to a "6". It could be that the person(s) responsible for the claim at the insurance company are mistaking an '18 with the 1FA6 VIN as a non-R.
  15. Obsolescence to Obsession – Tales of the Rented Mule (FPRS GT350 Track Attack #14)

Yeah - that's a great stop along Rt66. We made the trip with a bunch of other cars a few years back and I grabbed a pic behind the Pontiac museum with the Mule's little sister......
