  1. So, what's after the first run?

Exactly! That is how it always, always works. Ford slammed out so many GT500s the first year they ended up putting 0% financing on them in the summer of '07.
  2. Why doesn't Ford just produce more GT350's? - Some light reading for the Newbs

You obviously get it. It would appear that you are wasting your time attempting to make sense with people who are intoxicated with enthusiasm over an automobile that they have convinced themselves will be rare or unobtainable. Some of these blow holes are literally beyond belief with their inane...
  3. Why doesn't Ford just produce more GT350's? - Some light reading for the Newbs

The OP here is correct in that the initial projection of 5,500 GT350s at these price levels is quite likely to be all they need to build. That number will be adjusted northward should sales warrant, you can bet the farm on that one. The car is new, fresh, and great looking. It is however far...
  4. So, what's after the first run?

You are quite right about this car being a road course beast as evidenced by its times compared with other world class performers. The point from a sales volume perspective then becomes what percentage or just how many guys out there are willing and able to lay down 60 grand for a Mustang that...
  5. So, what's after the first run?

This will be no different than any other SE Mustang roll out. The nonsense abounds, early adopters are raped in some cases by the retailers, market saturates as there are no where near as many willing and able buyers as the zealots predict. The inevitable price collapse occurs as expected by...
  6. 2017 Model Year - What do we know so far?

A DCT option would be nice.
  7. MSRP GT350

GM produces that many because they can sell them. It is all relative. Ford knows that they would never, ever, sell 30,000, GT350s. GT500 sales have hovered around the 5,000 mark or somewhat above for years. Initial expectations will be similar for the 350 but adjustments can and will be made to...
  8. MSRP GT350

It is simply amazing and somewhat entertaining to watch the obvious novices here pontificate about ADMs, what dealers "are getting", "what they are going for", etc. Equating the ripoff asking prices that some retailers present at this early stage with actual selling prices is a big mistake. In...
  9. 2017 Model Year - What do we know so far?

By 2017 the dealers will have them sitting in a parking lot with bird crap splattered all over them. That is how it works with all this hot stuff once its not so hot anymore.
  10. 2017 Model Year - What do we know so far?

    Very much a possibility
  11. 2015 GT350 - with ADM

I am going to stick a fork in your theory. I have significantly more than "a few hundred thousand laying around". There are guys that I know who love cars that have many millions on tap. None of us would ever consider allowing a grease ball car dealer to bend us over for a nickel more than the...
  12. Actual Lap Times at Road Courses for GT350 & GT350R

That is better than not too shabby. It is shocking. and a huge credit for for Ford. Those GT3s sticker for 135-160K! They are pure track car that can be street driven, a GT350 equaling a GT3 in any category is simply amazing.
  13. Actual Lap Times at Road Courses for GT350 & GT350R

I agree that the Z06 should have remained normally aspirated especially for track use. The overwhelming majority of Z06s will never see road course action. Take a look at the average guy who smacks down $100,000 for one of these cars. Most are over 60 and idle these things in and out of car...
  14. Actual Lap Times at Road Courses for GT350 & GT350R

Check your math. Stingray falls short of the GT350 by 65 HP while the Z06 comes with 125 more HP. I just drove a 2015 Z06 automatic and it is rip your stomach out fast. If this GT350 rocks anything like a C7 Z06 then I'll buy two of them.
  15. Hellcat Production - Lessons Learned

That's right, just like the GT500 was supposed to be!
