I would say for your situation go with the bigger unit, ATM. I mean everybody benefits from an upgrade to the stock unit as it is horrible so being in the south AND looking to do some racing, you will benefit from the larger unit. No tune should be needed and the shutters are kind of useless...

I would LOVE an AWD mustang. I just sold my 15 mustang to move to an AWD S3 as the car is my DD and I live in the northeast. That might bring me back.

I guess this kind of answer the question. The mustang is probably overrated at 310 and the S3 is much closer to the advertised number so probably actually has more real HP than the EB.

Also of interest I have seen some dynos of stock S3s. They seem to make about 280/290 hp and they are listed by Audi at 295. Where as most EBs rate in the 250-270 hp range despite ford marketing them as 310. Why is this? I thought they all had the same % drop from crank to wheel?

It was a lot more than my EB but I was looking at an 18 GT Premium 401a with performance pack and magneride. It would have been right in the same ballpark actually the GT probably would have been a little more expensive.

Yeah after having the same old black interior for the last 3-4 cars it was time to shake it up. The red looks a little darker in person, but I like them either way.

Id rather have a dark gunmetal or black wheel. I don't like lighter grey/silver with a grey car. Plus I'd rather have a proper offset for flush look without spacers.

I worked a pretty good deal and got the price from 51,800 to 44,900. They had an RS3 with 4000 miles on it and still wanted over MSRP at 63k. Out of my range. Once the warranty is up I will be getting a tune, they seem to really put up good numbers with a tune. I am fine for now with the stock...

Thanks! It was tuned for a short time, dont think it was aggressive, was tune+ base tune. Who knows if thats why as stock ecos have also had issues.
