They are zinc coated so they don't rust and are silver . Painting the hat makes that part blend in and disappear with the wheel much better look. I'm taking mine off n painting them sometime in the near future.

If mine starts leaking I'm just going to take the sight out and plug the holes . Problem solved . I like the looks of the tank the sight tube had no bearing in me buying it .

It's worth it while it's under warranty , gets pricey to fix if its not .

Sorry about your bad luck , karma will get em one day but for now all you can do is fill out a police report ,and call your insurance company . Time to get that new stalker hood n front fascia you've been wanting. Next time get the license #.

IMO covers look cheap I painted mine. I used VHT metalic black pearl engine paint .

Let us know how your paint holds up . I was going to paint mine but didn't , if it holds up for you that's an easy fix for me . Looks awesome , and you are so right ,Brake Motive is an awesome supplier to deal with .
