  1. Help needed choosing spring/shock setup

Please, if you can! I appreciate it! Thatā€™s the track kit right? The ā€œtrackā€ nomenclature made me shy away from them because Iā€™d like to prioritize comfort a bit more than I did but with my previous Mustangā€™s setup. Minus the stop the hop kit, your setup is kind of what Iā€™m going for at...
  2. Help needed choosing spring/shock setup

I've got a '17 GT with 86k miles on the the base suspension, and I'm looking to choose the best and most affordable spring/shock setup that offers a minimum drop, improved handling over stock, and doesn't negatively impact ride quality too much, as subjective as that tends to be. I don't want it...
  3. Has anyone else seen my gauge cluster?

My ā€˜17 GT was originally a Canada car and presumably imported over to the stateside before I bought it two years ago. The biggest differences between mine and the regular cluster (top/bottom respectively) is the speedo and the faces having a rougher texture. Iā€™m wondering if these were just a...
  4. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

I'm talking about the steering rack, for clarification's sake. The entire unit is being replaced. While I typically try to DIY maintenance and repairs, I'm in a time crunch and haven't the time or energy to get it done myself...
  5. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Today I looked a little less fondly at my Mustang, as I authorized the single most expensive repair I've ever had on a car. My steering angle sensor and right rear speed sensor went bad and the former requires the steering gear to be replaced. All in, I'm looking at a bill north of $3k. šŸ™ƒ
  6. GRABBER BLUE METALLIC S550 MUSTANG thread

I finally had a chance to compare the new Grabber Blue Metallic compared to my '17's regular 'ole Grabber Blue. It definitely has more depth.
  7. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

I did my first V8 snownuts (snow donuts) last night!
  8. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

YEP! The weld failed badly while I was driving on the freeway a couple weeks ago, and it wasn't covered by any. warranty.
  9. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

My car is finally driving again!! Got the pedal assembly back in and the Steeda clutch lines installed last night, pumped the pedal too many times between today and yesterday, and the difference in clutch feel is night and day! I wouldn't ever do this job again, but it was worth it ONCE for...
  10. Higher mileage (50k+ miles) manual cars, check your clutch pedals

Got the assembly back in with some good friends last night. It actually went in easier than taking it out. All thatā€™s left is the clutch line, finding the other half of my assist spring perch, and bleeding it and we should be good to go! Total time just doing disassembly and reassembly was...
  11. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

This is what I did over the weekend, after learning the pedal assembly isn't covered by any warranty and costs $$$$ to replace. I pulled it out myself (PITA and the worst thing I've done on this car) and had it welded back together better than how it left the factory. Once my Steeda clutch line...
  12. Higher mileage (50k+ miles) manual cars, check your clutch pedals

It wasn't covered by any warranty, so I pulled the assembly (10/10 it was the worst thing I've done on an S550), and had it welded and reinforced. Ordered the Steeda clutch line since I'm already in there and I'm waiting for that before I put it all back together.
  13. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

The only warning I had before it went was creaking/squeaking sound for a month or two before after thinking it was the lower seat cushion and adjusting my position many times, it stopped. Then it went on the freeway and stopped me from changing gears twice the of the way home.
  14. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Had to drop my clutch brake/pedal assembly after learning it's not covered by any warranty to re-weld and hopefully reinforce it tomorrow.
  15. Higher mileage (50k+ miles) manual cars, check your clutch pedals

Mine failed today on the freeway and intermittently prevented me from changing gear all the way home from work and to the dealer. Mine is just under 60k miles, and I had intermittent creaking sounds that I thought were coming from my seat, as the changing my position seemed to correspond with it...
