I had several of the early classic mustangs with Wimbledon white. It never measured up to the brightness of GM’s Polar white.

I see your point but then again, when everyone bought their Mustangs new we all have the SAME bumper at that time. However, I think $1200 for a $500 bumper is a bit much. I am waiting for the demand to die down and so will the price.
I agree! Oxford white is much improvement over the Wimbledon white of the 60’s and 70’s. It is just that I am partial to the pearlescent white platinum metallic and the new Star White Metallic
My 2017 GT conv did this a couple of months ago for the first time. I opened then closed the door and it stopped. You probably are correct associating this with the easy entry/exit function. At any rate, I have 8 year ESP. If the mirror fails before then, warranty will cover it.
