I had several of the early classic mustangs with Wimbledon white. It never measured up to the brightness of GM’s Polar white. Just my personal preference!

Oxford white is much better than the old Wimbledon white, but a metallic white really “pops” in the sun after a ceramic wax job!

Did you get rid of the car or just the bumper? Did you reinstall the original bumper? I was looking at the 777 bumper.

I see your point but then again, when everyone bought their Mustangs new we all have the SAME bumper at that time. However, I think $1200 for a $500 bumper is a bit much. I am waiting for the demand to die down and so will the price.

I agree! Oxford white is much improvement over the Wimbledon white of the 60’s and 70’s. It is just that I am partial to the pearlescent white platinum metallic and the new Star White Metallic

Ford should bring back this color option.

My 2017 GT conv did this a couple of months ago for the first time. I opened then closed the door and it stopped. You probably are correct associating this with the easy entry/exit function. At any rate, I have 8 year ESP. If the mirror fails before then, warranty will cover it.

The only year white platinum metallic was offered on the Mustang was 2017. It is a beautiful finish out in the sun.
