I believe the x-pipe design has slightly more efficient "exhaust scavenging" which helps the exhaust pulses leave the pipe and equalize a bit easier. If you look at the design of the X vs H, it makes sense that it would be a better equilibrium with the X. I'm going with X once more catbacks...
