  1. Best daily driver super charger + tune?

Whipple, hands down. Not only for the PD blower design, but the easier install than a TVS with no cutting or modifying the K brace, timing cover, and block. Whipple also has VERY good tuning out of the box that works with the Ford Racing Operating System on your ECU. It's very nice stuff. Yes...
  2. Headlight seperation

I just heated mine in the oven and peeled them open. Then removed the permaseal and resealed with 3m black silicone. I haven't had any issues. And it's VERY hot and humid here right now. Constant storms and 90+% humidity.
  3. O2 Sensor HELP

Never extend or solder on an o2 sensor's wiring. Only extend from the harness side. The o2 sensor uses a specific resistance and wiring for fresh air calibration. This is thrown off when you add wiring.
  4. Any turbo regrets?

All of the twin kits have some type of compromise. One is made by a child porn collector, one has stock manifolds and a chinsey collector at the turbos, one has a miserable coolant line running on the exhaust crossover. All of them hang below the suspension for either the exhaust or the charge...
  5. Replaced Voodoo Engine

Don't get me wrong, I do not think the OPGs are related to oil consumption at all. It's physically impossible for oil to disappear via the OPGs. The oil consumption, I believe, is just due to blowby. Low tension rings, cylinders slightly out of round or deforming from vibration, or issues with...
  6. Replaced Voodoo Engine

Avoid any engine built by MMR at ALL costs. Search them, they are the Hennessey of engine building. Lots of shady business and engine building practices. Customers finding stock parts in engines when they paid for aftermarket etc.
  7. Replaced Voodoo Engine

I think that many are frustrated with the choice in material for the OPGs, but they are overlooking the hardness and resulting durability of a powdered metal gear. The broken OPGs are caused by torsional vibration of the crank snout. It causes the gears to move inside the housing. The...
  8. Muffling cold-start exhaust dB levels?

Bill is right. If the car is tuned, add timing to the cold spark tables. It rips all of the timing out and load shoots up during cold start. ...shoot...load....ha.
  9. 5.2L FPC firing order and other Voodoo questions

There's more of a few Voodoos broken around the AC compressor at the block. Ford replaced the engines. There's a 500 comment thread here about voodoo engine failures for you to read ad nauseum about it. Seems that a reasonable discussion about issues would be a waste with your temper anyway.
  10. 5.2L FPC firing order and other Voodoo questions

I wasn't talking about crank failures. At all. Excessive vibrations from the non-traditional FPC design, cracked blocks, and oil consumption. 18s suffer from none of these issues. But 350 owners are sensitive to these problems and pretend they don't exist.
  11. 5.2L FPC firing order and other Voodoo questions

Firing order can be changed in the tune. I can confirm it, I can see it in HPTuners. For what it's worth, Voodoo heads already have a DI dimple in them where the injector would normally go. Some keen-eyed journalist already spotted it and wrote an article about it in 2015ish. I think that...
  12. Whipple Stage 1 or Roush Stage 2

I've tuned both. The ID1050s are a better option than the DWs, and will give you more headroom than the 56s. You never want to cut it close on fuel. The DW95s will save you some money and aren't an issue, though.
  13. Whipple Stage 1 or Roush Stage 2

You made a good choice. Easier install, cleaner looking install, nothing is cut or modified to install, and high quality parts. Roush/TVS with the backwards cast bracket, cast tensioner, PITA belt routing etc. Now, I will say that TVS/Roush has the advantage if the belt breaks due to running...
  14. is it safe to raise car from differential housing??

The diff bolts support MUCH more than the weight of the diff lol. They take all of the shock and rotational forces that are being pushed through the diff. Remember, it is literally trying to push backwards and rotate out of the car every time you give the car any power. Imagine the shock at launch.
  15. is it safe to raise car from differential housing??

I have used the diff DOZENS of times. There's no problem with it. I also have wooden wheel stands that are 13" each that I sit the car on. Jacking rails are a waste of time and money. The pinch welds are more than strong enough to support the jacking and standing of the car. I've even jacked...
