I have an S197 I just got to replace my GT, Covid-19 took it, now I want to put 19x10 sq. w/285/35/19's. Has anyone done this? I can't find an answer here?
Even with these S550 platform cars being 5 years in production, not enough "Savy" road warrior's understand the in's & out's of theses cars. Just a paycheck to them. It's hard to find great shop's who get these new cars. I have the bolt's but Firestone could not get me -2.0 on my pony.
Right Norm, I got the Gen 1 CB005 cradlelockouts. No mechenic's had seen them, so it took 2 shops for me to find a proper install, & I had to help show them how. Be careful with "New" products.
Yes, these S550 platform ponies need 1 mm slots cut from the towers in front to achieve .2- camber and really dosen't need much more to perform well on a track. So "notch" the front towers when you can. Maybe there is a thread on this job.
I've learned my "Lesson" from buying a "New" product, I have the Gen 1 BMR cradlelockouts. When I bought them no mechanic's were familiar or knew how to properly install. Time is your friend, I learned not to "Jump" on new designs quickly. My lockout work fine, now I found a shop to install them...
