I would love to see a test where they put the ZL1, GT500, , Corvette, and a Redeye on a prepped track with good drag tires and run them on the same day. We would have a better idea what they could do with out being traction limited.

It is a good solid effort. Should out run the Camaro with the horsepower advantage and keep up with the Hellcat Redeye on the strip. Just seems this car should have been out a couple years ago.

I like it but somewhat disappointed after such a long wait. Was hoping it would be a major upgrade over the Camaro and Hellcat performance wise, not so sure it will be.

It's not just Ford, 2015 Mercedes SL keeps loosing air pressure in the tires because the wheels develop small cracks. Mercedes will not cover it under warranty even though the shop manager said it's a known problem with lots of complaints. Already replaced 2 wheels at $1300 each.

I saw where a 2019 ZR1 Corvette ran a 10.12 in the quarter. I hope the GT500 can run at least low 10's. The bar just keeps getting higher on performance which is pretty cool, not sure when it will end.

No mention of a horsepower increase, was expecting at lease a small bump up.

I think Ford will try to keep it under at least 4000 lbs. I think it will basically be like a higher HP GT350R.

I just read where Cadillac is coming out with a twin turbo V8. Hope this is the direction Ford goes in the future.

I've read several articles recently about the Camaro transmissions for 2019 based upon California CARB data. Wondering if there is any info from has been submitted by Ford on the GT500 I do not know where to find this info as a google search did not show anything.

Kind of hard to stay excited for another year with no car to see. The problem with waiting 5 years since the last GT500 is if it's not over the top with performance and blows the Camaro and Hellcats away it will be viewed as a failure, even if its a great car.

Don't look now but it appears Hellcats in 2019 are getting a HP increase. Seems the bar just keeps getting raised while Ford waits to get this thing on the road.
