Jesus fucking christ...
I'm sure everyone could use their control arms replaced if looked at close enough but the fact you said you had no play in the wheel then it's not the issue. It may fail in a year or 2 but wow.
BTW rock auto has control arms for $120 If I remember correctly
Sounds to me like the lateral link (rearward control arm). Had a similar issues, I was also able to hear it if I jerked the steering wheel quickly back and forth while parked as a thud.
To test if this is the case, with wheels off ground try to shake or wobble them back and forth, side to side...
When I owned my 16 v6 my favorite exhaust i installed was just the roush axle backs. Everything I did to the exhaust after i regreted trying to chase that v8 sound.
The roush alone in my opinion is the best for the v6. I replaced 3 midpipes and made it worse everytime
Well luckily I'm doing the rearward (lateral link) then and by standard sus kit I hope your referring to a mini 9lb sledge with a sideorder of brute force otherwise I'm going to need some clarification lol 😆
I didn't give much look into replacing just the ball joint because I've been wanting to...
Having the same issue on my 16, control arm passenger side rearward. Car off the ground has a good amount of wiggle in the wheel plus certain angle banked turns causes wheel whobble so I bought the steeda ones.
Was it easy to get off? No ball joint press or special tools needed?
I'm building...
Alright guys now that the city stopped burning and it appears you have to be over 74 to die from the rona, let's get something goin and try to salvage what we can from 2020.
I'm sure most of us are all over the Illinois area so it would be premature to start picking a meet up spot. So post if...
@OnThree
Well I didnt mean there going to fail if you keep revving to the moon, just that dudes ringing it out to 8k are the one typically that have opg failure, and your right most of them are FI also
Isnt the limiter nothing more than a software limit? Why would hitting a software limit at 6800 rpm cause your opgs to fail?
Dont the opgs fail cause you keep spinning the motor past 7500?
I dont know if the actual color lighting is installed and just disabled by software.
If that is the case you can check in with the forscan guys/threads and see if anyone turned them on yet.
If you get a 170* thermostat then the fans will only come on in the hottest of days. My CHT are under 200* on 95* days.
Your not wrong about peak power drop off revving it past 6700 but I think it falls off at 7k for 15-17 IM. I dont think your asking to much for that safety net, 7.5k not...
@Kosto That's awesome brother I cant wait to see you out on the road! Mines the only grey gt with a rear firefighter license plate cant miss me!
@Tonymustang302 Ya it does and I seem to be free. Maybe we can get something together this week.
