He was on a throughly prepped track, and wasn’t spinning, even at IIRC, the max rpm setting. The DCT, like a regular manual, can only adjust clutch slippage to altar the launch. I’m not sure if slipping the clutch more, or the opposite, will gain much in the 60’. JMHO

10.66 is hauling ass. But..1.727 60’ is going to be a problem. I doubt the DCT trans can allow much better, no matter how much you modify the engine. Red eye with a torque converter is going to be a problem.

I don’t understand this thread. Ford dealer orders a basic GT500 for their general inventory. A guy discovers this car is about to be delivered to that dealer, and is unsold. He makes a deal to buy it. GT500 future owners, who have ordered their cars find out, and are outraged. Why?

I watched the engineer speak about this new 7.3 truck engine. He stated that they had listened to the commercial truck market that wanted an engine that made great low rpm torque, was reliable, fuel efficient and easy to work on in the field. That’s it. Straight from the source.
