Not regular Seafoam, I’ve been using this method on my car since 10K now has 31K. My wife’s EB Escape, now with 50K. What Ford is saying is that a carbon particle can maybe get in the turbo and ruin it. If you do this every 10K no issues so far.

Hi, just got the car back. Correct you are the repaired the harness, and assured me it won’t happen again. I told them yep, if I don’t put anything in the truck that will hit the harness that hangs when you close the trunk lid.

Just brought my 2015 in under extended warrany. Will see if they replace the harness, or just repair it. What blows my mind is that it just hangs in the trunk, so no matter what you put in there is going to hit the harness. I asked if they updated the harness he didn’t know.

2016 and are not supposed to be effected. Since mine has been done, I don't feel my air is as cold as before. I need to get mine checked. Good luck hopefully it was only freon.

Yes, that's how mine started. It was warm on drivers side, and passenger was cold. But not for long. The next day all was warm.

I also spoke the service manager, he said that Ford got rid of the vendor that made all the defective evaporators, and that I won't have the problem again. Hopefully he didn't feed me a line of crap.

Like I mentioned in my post, the service writer who is a good friend of mine for years, said he does at least 3 evaporators per week. Mine has been great since the job. No issues at all. Good luck.

Just got mine done today. My local Ford dealer did it in one day. He told me that they stock about 30 Evaporators in stock, that the do a minimum of 3 per week. He said only 2015's. And that the update should fix it permanently. My wife picked up the car, the only problem so far is with the door...
