My '15 GT had almost exactly that same damage a week ago, with the exception that the airbag did not deploy. $15K and fixable. The airbag might be the tipping point however.

Just based upon basic mechanical engineering, I have an immense amount of skepticism that the strut town brace is anything but decorative. However, the K-member is a different story. It looks like it's capable of stiffening.
Every winter, I have pumped tires to 50, added fuel stabilizer, fresh oil change (full synthetic), full tank of gas, parked on foam pads from Canadian Tire, plugged in a battery tender, and that's it.
