PORT KEMBLA Hours of operation
All Cargo receival and/or delivery:
Monday through Friday 06.00- 13.30

So does this mean if Tarago doesn't dock before Friday 1.30pm...its going to sit idle till Monday 6am till unloading?
I hope not...

Well, given there are boats coming and going outside of these times, then no... Can't see that happening.

As a side note.... that bloody boat that was tied up in AKL harbour for 5 days is still causing flow on problems. The Parsifal (another Mustang carrying boat) is now anchored off AKL harbour. She arrived in on the 24th, not due to dock until midnight tonight.

I am guessing shipping companies are used to their boats getting delayed in spots like Auckland where there appears to be the one spot to drop cars.

Oddly, the "stuck ship" originally had a destination of Yokohama. I noted after she had departed the destination changed to Hiroshima.

No idea what that means.... but guessing a RoRo between Auckland and Japan is empty in that direction.

I am still waiting for my car to get a boat... but I am in Victoria... does the ship offload to all ports, or does it dump all the cars at one port and truck them to dealers ?

I CANT wait to see my car allocated to a boat ... been a lonnnnnnnnnnng wait.

If you are closer to port of Melbourne, your car will go there. Other drop points are Brisbane, Port Kembla (Sydney) then Melbourne and finally Fremantle.

Ships drop in that order.

If you are border of Vic and NsW, some cars will go to Port Kembla

Marine Traffic has just updated the next destination to Port Kembla, and a tug appears headed her way.

Seems she will be leaving as per current schedule!
