I'm looking to run just a filter/turbo guard on my Paxton setup. I was curious about the DS valve cover and IMRC vacuum routing. I know these two lines run to the factory intake and are tee'd together with the kit, since I won't run an intake tube can I just toss a breather filter on them or run them to my VTA catch can? It seems logical to do this but I just wanted to clarify.

I run breathers and no line on the intake tube.

Cool. I can't just leave them hanging out there, my OCD would be super triggered, but I'll do as I planned and run them to my breather to vent. Thanks!

What type of horsepower do you think you will gain running it this way? Is it worth the added risk to the engine by not having a filter?

Can you post a pic of the finished set up? Not a huge fan of the Paxton inlet. Wish there was a short filter option or better hard pipe upgrade.

I'm doing the install next weekend. The K&N I posted is the short filter setup that mounts directly to the inlet.

I looked up the filter and it looks to be exactly what I was looking for. So I definitely appreciate you posting the part #. Itll be cool to see how it looks once you install. I'm still waiting on my beefcake special to ship so no rush.

Open blower to inlet tube on, back to Back runs was almost 20whp gained for me. The tube is the restriction not the filter.

This is what i run on my JT-B for races

Leave it vented or cap it off? As far as driver side vacuum hose that runs under intake mani

I wonder if the filter posted flows enough more over the JLT to make it worthwhile. I might take one with me to the track and try it. I hate the Paxton inlet but don't like running no filter.

Looks awesome. Can't wait till my kit arrives. I need to call and see what's up with my invoices though. I'm receiving packages without tracking so I don't know what's coming or not.
