There's no break in oil in the engine when it comes from the factory. It's just regular engine oil, and should be changed based on the recommended interval by Ford. No need to do anything else.

Now if you're rebuilding the engine yourself or at a machine shop then you should follow the recommendation from them or whatever break in oil you plan on using.

I never reached my intended 1st change at 2k in my EB before I traded it last month but I will change at 2k in the GT.

There is no break in oil but I usually change at 3000 miles.

Break in oil is for flat tappet cams and has high zinc content so the lifters break in with the camshaft lobes. Your engine uses a roller cam so it's not needed.

If you are referring to when to change the original oil I would say 1500 to 2500 miles to rid the engine of any break in small particles.
