I was offered $48,500 for my 2100 mile '16 Track Pack (has Suntek and Opti Coat Pro installed). This seems low to me. Am I better off trying to sell the car on my own?

That seems low but maybe because your getting the R at msrp. What would the tax benefit be with the trade...if it's about the same estimated market price if you sold it on your own than you may as well trade it.

With the ADM's pretty much gone on the GT350's, expect lower trade-in offers like this. You're definitely better off selling privately!

Wait for the gt500 then sell your gt350 privately

About $1300 would be the tax benefit trading it in.

I currently have a deposit on an R, received $56,200 for my 17 350 Convenience, 2000 miles (I did not pay ADM on my 17). BUT, I am paying an ADM for the R.

I am rethinking my deal after recent "UNOFFICIAL" announcement of 1000 R production for 17.

I had my car appraised yesterday. 16 Track pack 8k miles. 48k. I searched several trade in values and came up with the same. I would say the offer you have is solid. Of course you can sell privately for more. For me I am getting her gone tomorrow because I have an R I am picking up in 2 weeks bitches!!

I don't want to deal with tire kickers. Not sure how much more than $50K I would be able to get private market if some are getting under MSRP on new 350's. Also, I paid sticker for my track pack.

I totally agree with this.
For those that are wondering how I secured my deal. I used the Ford inventory website. It was my first wave. All the other dealers were $20-$40K over.

Yes, ask for more. I haven't found a dealer anywhere in the country (on the 4 or so sites I looked) selling them for less than 53k at that mileage.

I bet most dealers are going to 50-51K...Man, maybe I need to go back into car sales again, lol...Looks like the used car market is staying pretty lucrative!

You can look at it this way, you're saving on paying that ADM, if it's worth it to you, let 'em steal it.

Up here the tax benefit on 48.5k would be over 6k, full 13% on the trade in value regardless of what's owing on the trade in.

Does seem a little low

Here in Utah you'd be saving about $3,300 dollars. 6.85% sales tax. You can always test the market and if it doesn't sell trade it in. That's what I ended up doing with my '06 Z06 and my '14 Raptor.

trade it..not worth dealing with people to sell it for just a little more
