I’m just not believing ford would roll out something like that with only 1 year run. If anything I think it will be a drag related car, like the demon with an advanced drag set up and another 75 hp Just a guess.
Same motor, same transmission.

I suppose they could but do they wanna just copy the Demon or do something totally unique for American muscle cars! We’re all waiting for the first TT V8, if they were able to engineer an AWD system they could probably damn near run with a demon. Fords S550 platform is so much better and there’s area they can improve or lighten. The LX dodge platform is way overweight and they are just milking it, it’s not a platform that will ever be good for the turns.

I will have to keep my eyes open for any future spy pics of any bench-marking with...GTRs...we have already seen ford test with a GM product as well as a Porsche...

Yeah, this is true. In the next year or so, if you see something tagging along, that’s probably what it’s after.

New member here. I haven't read through the whole topic, but I was sent some information from someone at Roush. They currently have a 2020 GT500. My source called it a 2020 GT500 "R". The "R" is the stripped down version like the GT350R. My source claims 900HP and 3800 lbs. 5.2L supercharged, no word on transmissions, yet.

Just wondering why the 7.3 doesn't have "diesel" written beside it.

Interesting. 3800lbs seems like quite the beast. Was hoping for some weight loss but it could certainly overcome that with 900 horsepower.

any word about a new formal racing program to go with the new car ? maybe a revamp of project silver? the 350 racing programs were surprising and a formal (read heavily advertised) program will really add that creme de la creme/last touch to a full on package.
Yes a 7.3L supercharged GT500 would make the perfect GT3 racecar. The Ford GT is a GTE/GTLM and the GT350 in GT4 so there needs to be a GT3 offering.

If this is accurate there may be an opening at Roush becoming available soon!
