HR871 is inbound. Its time to start shopping rates. I've seen some of the members here who are pretty savvy when it comes to finding the best auto loan deal.

Does anyone have any leads?

I'll call USAA and NW Fed Cred Union for starters.

I looked at that, thanks for the suggestion. So 2.24% - .5% to get 1.74%. You have to have a checking account and pay electronically? Is that all there is to it?

I also have DCU. easy as can be. I think that 2.24 is the discounted rate however...

"Published rates include 0.50% discount when you pay electronically and qualify for Relationship benefits on your DCU Checking"

Yep, and you have to have a FICO score of 725 or above I believe... Just chat with them online, they're pretty good at that.

1.9% THRU CAPITAL ONE I HAD THEM DO IT AT THE DEALERSHIP WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR. I TOLD THEM THE ONLY WAY I WAS BUYING THE CAR WAS TO GET THE PRICING I WANTED (FAIR NO ADM) THEN THE INTREST RATE HAD TO BE UNDER 1.9% THEY HIT ME ABOUT 3 TIMES WITH 5% THEN 3.5% THEN 2.25% I TOLD THEM 1.9 WAS MAX AFTER ME GETTING READY TO WALK OUT AGAIN THEY PULLED 1.9%

I just called. 2.24% includes the .5% discount, so 1.74% is not available.

I bank through Chase and because of this I got a few discounts and such and my rate is at 2.09 I believe. I took the 72 month and pay it off like a 60 month.

I got 2.79% for 72 from PNC... (that was a year ago, I shopped around a decent amount)... rates have gone up around 40-50bps over the past year on average based on my general observation.

PNC is still offering 2.59% for 60

In Ca your best rates (assuming best credit) are generally around the following:
60mo 1.99
72mo 2.49
84mo 3.29 (although I still know of a few lenders at 2.99 and one that does 1.99 for current members at Christmas)

60 month is probably what I'm after. I've been shopping around today and the best I can find is 2.24 for 60mo at dnc. Who is the 1.99?

Thanks!
