Fingers crossed they gain 30-40WHP with their tune.

They should also try removing the carbon trap from air box and fitting a high flow panel filter to see what gains if any it gives.

I'd be surprised if Ford left that much safe power on the table for tuners. Now if you add a JLT Intake... :lol:

Is it common for an oem engine to "hold" close to max HP for 1000 rpm or more like we see in all the dyno results so far? I'm used to seeing a relatively constant slope followed by either rev limit or drop off. I've never seen a long plateau like this engine.

If the new 5.0 with it's DI/PI system responds like the Gen6 Camaro with the DI only LT1..I don't think we'll be seeing the big 30+ HP gains like before.

My guess is 15WHP/15WTQ from a tune only. 25WHP/20WTQ from a tune/intake combo.

Well it should, it's over a liter larger.

Let me say it is at no interest for Lund to dyno so high because that just makes it harder for them to sell tunes if the tunes don't see big gains.

seeing as 2017 A10 ZL1 stock dynos show about a 15% power loss I think we can safely say the it is not the super efficient 10spd filled with Unicorn piss thats inflating the #'s.

Ford would be absolutely retarded to under rate the cars. Horse power sells cars. People that don't know a single thing about performance cars would LOVE to say....My new Mustang makes 490-500HP. That would literally put the Mustang at the top of the HP big three heap. If Ford was making more repeatable power over the 485HP dodge twins. Or the 455HP Camaro. You can beat a years pay. They would be using that fact in their advertising.

This particular one, 490-500. The average seems to be trending around 425 wheel, and they're not under 10% losses for sure. Spin down test would be able to tell closer.

It's been out selling the other two with only 435 so advertising 460 should keep it on top. I think fords marketing's is actually pretty clever. Look at all the free advertising there getting right now! :ford:
