New member here. I haven't read through the whole topic, but I was sent some information from someone at Roush. They currently have a 2020 GT500. My source called it a 2020 GT500 "R". The "R" is the stripped down version like the GT350R. My source claims 900HP and 3800 lbs. 5.2L supercharged, no word on transmissions, yet.

How the hell would they even remotely put that kind of power down with 315 tires?? Honestly I don't see it with rwd. There wouldn't be much of a performance gain over 750-800 hp. That would be insane.

900 is a bit more than what's known...3800 is about right. 315 is as wide as can be fit (and meet package requirements) without quarter flares. GT350R rears poke.

I wish they would put some wider quarter panels on it and throw a 335 back there.

900 is a bit more? Wow...even 800 would be monstrous in this car. Damn this this is gonna light it up.
Im super surprised with the 3800 lb area, was thinking 3900.

‘Boy Clark, this is just a really big surprise’

If it's a 7L it does not need as big of a supercharger. So should be lighter and make more power. I'm guessing 1,000hp and 3,700lbs.

Isn’t that 7.3l for the truck? Drop that baby into the mustang Boss 444

From that engine spec it looks like the 350 lives on clear to 2020

Noticed that too but I’m not so sure. I’ve heard mixed reports on the continuation of it. Would be interesting to have both SE stangs at the same time

A GT350 with direct injection amongst other little changes should push it closer to 600hp.... then hang that dual clutch box off it and see if anything can keep up with it.

Yeah.

A 550+hp voodoo with seven dual clutchable gears will make it pretty insane.

Wow. That’s a good weight. They really should consider widening the rear panels to get 335 in there. So much power, smaller tire and I’m sure it’s like a 55/45 weight distribution or worse.
