Thinking about adding these to my car. I only have a tune and CAI for power mods at this time. I have the BMR Cradle Lockout, BMR 81/88 springs (rears are drag spings), and diff bushings. I run M/T ET Rs 275/40-17s at the track and I'm not able to get below 1.90 60 ft times with my auto (3.15). I've tried various launch techniques and sometimes I can blow the tires off on launch. Wondering if/how much these might help. Anyone running these with a NA auto car and if they helped 60ft times.

You can make that car with those mods spin a MT "R" drag radial!?!?

Dang.

To answer your question, it depends on how the car is blowing them off.

If it is blowing them off "instantly"....I am afraid that a shock wont really help your specific scenario.

If it is hooking THEN spinning, then a shock will 100% help.

I feel you may need to look further into your traction issues.

For comparison, I had a 420rwhp tune up on just a MT DR on a 20" wheel (non R) and I could launch it from 6500rpm and it wouldnt blow the tires off. On two different tracks.

I blow the tires off when I foot brake to 1000 RPM then floor it on the 3rd amber. It's like it hits the stock stall harder than when I foot brake to 1500 and completely load the suspension before hammering it. I can't get my 60 ft times below 1.90

What psi are you running in the tires?

I am going to take a stab and say your issue is:

-Tire Pressure
-Track Prep
-Burnout issue

Or the culmination of all 3, which is actually pretty common.

Tire pressure is 15-16 psi, I do a burnout just long enough to get a bit of smoke. Track prep varies. Maybe I can do a longer burnout. What tires pressures are others running in M/T ET Rs?
