Searched the forum for a related thread, but couldn't find anything...

When do adjustable vertical links become necessary? I assume when lowering the car, as the geometry of the suspension in changed, but at the same time my mind is telling me that the distance between the spindle and LCA shouldn't change, even when lowered.

Clarification is appreciated!

Adjustable vertical links are not needed when lowering the car.

Thanks a bunch! What exactly is the point of having an adjustable set, then?

I am having trouble seeing the point in adjustable links too. the two points they bolt too are basically fixed unless you want to try and twist the control arm for some reason

I saw those at Full Tilt and I could not for the life of me figure out why that would be necessary. Adjustment wouldn't add caster or fix anything due to a lowered vehicle. Maybe there is some concept of a preload adjustment... I'm at a loss.
