There's third party websites that sell you the upgrade equipment needed. I have looked into since I also have a Explorer with sync 2.

Question on Carplay, Siri and the native voice recognition. Is there a way when Apple Carplay is active to flip to the native voice recognition. For example I'm listening via USB and have Apple Maps. Pressing or long Pressing the Speak button always brings Siri. It would be nice to be able to give a command to find a track or album on USB even with Apple Car Play loaded. I tried flipping to Sync3 but the Speak still calls up Siri when CP is loaded. Might there be a special way to call the native robot?

So has there been any updates from ford about this? I had a look on the owner.ford site and didn't even see their standard "sometime in the next 15 years"

I did see the post a few pages back saying something to the effect of "no update is available at this time"

Waze now allows Spotify to run in app.
I'm assuming this is the update, and hopefully works well, since running 2 simultaneous apps through BT makes my audio go crazy.

Finally got around to updating my nav unit and replacing my USB port. Easy peasy.
