275/35r18?

Is anyone running 275/35r18 tires? I was thinking about picking up a set of NT05s after my 555s (275/40r18) wear out. I have the Ford Racing Track Handling Pack and I don't think the smaller tire would look weird. The big question is whether or not it will force me to shift into 4th more on the track and whether or not that is a bad thing with the 3.55 rear axle. I think it would put my top speed around 143mph in 5th which should be fine.

Opening up an old thread to discuss another 18 inch option.

Installed TSW Bathurst in 18 x 9.5 ET39 today. Put 265/45 Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics on them. I like the look, but I like the 11 pounds I lost on each corner even more.

Now for the issues.

Maybe 1mm of clearance between the spokes and the caliper in front. I will have to run a thin spacer. No more than 3mm; 2mm if I can find them.

The hub dust boot doesn't' clear the wheel center cap. I'll have to look into options for fixing that.

BTW, I fit four PP wheels and tires inside the car for the trip home.

From the pics it looks great. I’ve never been impressed when people paint an oem wheel black, but having the polished lip makes a big difference.

@JCFoster what tire size do you run with your 18x9 wheels?

For anyone willing to answer, I'm looking to buy 18x9 SVE drift wheels. What is a good tire size that would match the stock 235/50r18?
