Any and all help is appreciated because if you guys would keep the 373 gear setup with my Paxton just to keep the Torsen I will cancel the deal with this guy. I just have never thought about going with a 285 45 20 in the rear instead of going with a 305 35 in the rear because I always figured wider is better

I dont have a stock pp tire set up. Currently in the rear I have a 20 x 10 wheel and I am running 285/35/20 so I put that in the top section and then I put 305 35-20 which is what I would be switching to
I understand you don't currently have the stock PP wheels/tires, but to determine actual effective gear you should start with what the car left the factory with...275/45r19 with the 3.73 gear ratio...then in the new tire size make the change to show your current or future tire changes. This will then give you a more accurate assessment of your effective gear ratio.

Yes, I would stick with the Torsen and look at tires first...if you later go to a 6060 swap the effective gear ratio with a 3.31 rear end would be way to low..imho

while we are on the topic. Has anyone ever run the American Muscle 20" Performance pack rims in the back with the stock fronts?

Not sure how you got 3.63, going from the stock PP tire size of 275/45R19 to your current setup of 285/35r20 gives an effective gear ratio of 3.85, using 3.73 stock PP rear end gear ratio...and if you change to the 305/35r20 the effective gear ratio goes to 3.77. If you go to a 285/45r20 you have a ratio of 3.56 or go to a 305/45r20 gets a ratio of 3.48

For what you've indicated how you will use the car, I would keep the Torsen and change tire size slightly to improve overall performance.
Stock size is a 275/40, not 45. That's why it's a 3.63 ratio with a 305/35/20.

Ok, i canceled the deal with the guy. Keeping my 3.73's now any suggestions on trying to get Traction in first and second gear? Like I said I'm running a 20x10 wheel in the rear. What do you guys suggest regarding tires, I hear a lot of good things about the Mickey Thompsons and so-so reviews on the nittos...what about the toyo r888's? Should i go 305/35/20 or should I just keep my Toyo Proxes that are on the car right now or invest in a race set. Its not my daily and it prob will only see the track once if any times at all. Suggestions?

Best traction street tire is hands down MT/SS's..... cons - price - longevity

Ive geard that mickeys are the best overall... I know ultimately with a stick car 331 or 373's will be hard pressed to hook in first and second on tge street especially at my power level but i def need something because these toyo proxes are not cutting it
