No QC can take 5 days or 5 weeks to do the OK to buy. That is how I understand it. Maybe someone who can explain it better can chip in.

Mvfjet, I contacted my dealer yesterday and he stated my partial Vin has been created. It's pretty much like yours except, when scheduled for production the last 6 numbers will be assigned. In any event my order has been accepted by Ford and the wheels are beginning to turn.

No man, sorry for the confusion. I ordered a GT Premium and this is what my salesman told me over the phone. When FORD accepts a new order a partial Vin is generated and when production is scheduled the last ( 7 Identifying ) numbers are assigned. These are the numbers that define your car for life.

The first group of numbers define Make, model, engine, etc.

My order still isn't showing up, if I'm using cotus correctly that is. I remember seeing someone said that if the order number is an "F" followed by a 3-digit number, just remove the "F" and add a "0" in front to make the 3-digit number 4 digits. And since mine says "F807", that's what I'm doing. Plus, I still don't have a VIN yet, so pretty sure it's not in the system anyways.

COTUS seems to be worthless. I have had a VIN for a while, and COTUS can never find it.

thats the same date mine got changed to-11/27. it was originally set for Oct 2. mines a stock order as well.

A 2017 SUPERDUTY F-250 LARIAT is coming up under my order number. Texted my salesman. Hopefully, they will get it sorted out. I got really excited for a second. :(

edit: My salesman will call me tomorrow when his manager is in. Hopefully, they will get it sorted out. And maybe they changed my order to a stock order. I doubt it. But hey! I can dream right?

Glad you got it sorted out, On the other hand it appears you got pushed back a tad. As I stated before the last 7 numbers will identify your Mustang for ever.

This sucks for me. That means I will be lucky to have it before Christmas. Of course, that is the time of the year when I won't have extra cash to put down on the car.

I wonder why their pushing everybody back? This means retail orders probably won't get their till January or later. Which sucks!

This is for all 2018 Production of: Focus, Mustang , Fusion, Lincoln MKZ and Continental. For Mustangs, due to excessive 2016-17' MY mustangs overflowing on dealer lots way past (double), the inventory norms of 55-67 day's, nationwide, the 2018's will not be starting production till after November, possibly December of 2017....

I'm a fleet mgr. I just got an update two days ago. So first deliveries likely won't happen till Late February to April 2018...
