Never driven with the regular convenience seats on the track. The recaros hold well at the hips and lower/mid back. You may be doing more work without the recaros using your muscles to keep yourself centered. The material alone on the recaros will help keep the driver in the seat
I'd assume recaro hold you better than convenience seat. When I went to the track I'm with sparco bucket seat with 4 point. I snag myself very tight and I just need to use my neck to support my head and that's all.
I'd assume I would lean like that Porsche driver if you used the convenience seat with three point
Sofa seats here. On track with factory tire's the seats are fine. When I switch to autocross and RE71 tire's I need to support myself with my knee hard against the door panel on tight right handlers (pull about 1.2-1.3g with RE71's)
The reacaros are decent on track, but still not enough with the standard seat belt. I especially have a difficult time doing heel-toe shifts due to supporting myself from being pushed forward during braking.
At the GT350 track attack I was much, much smoother, I believe mostly due to the harnesses used which really let me cinch myself down into the seat and get secure.
I do 90% street driving though, so I'll be staying stock with the standard belts recaro seats. They are very comfortable on the street, but maybe more difficult to get into and out of.
