Our buddy Kundan, or as some may know him by the name Ecobeast, came by with his 2018 Performance Pack GT Today. We strapped her down on the dyno and made an astonishing 425RWHP SAE on a bone stock 18 GT 10 speed. I would say that's pretty damn impressive!
Stay tuned to see what we do next to his car!

Looks very good. Is that cut off right before 7k rpm? Either way the car looks to be underrated by 20 to 30 hp and tq.

Yes we did it in 7th gear and it only revved out to 6800 rpm. It made great power!

Holy crap if the motor was taken to the 7500rpm redline and got even 10 more hp with 15 percent drivetrain loss its putting down 500hp. Im very impressed.

Drive train loss is probably closer to 12%, this is a modern wet auto, they lose nowhere near the amount power through trans like the old ones.

The power and torque curves on these MY18's is a big improvement over older cars, can see why owners say they feed so strong on the road.

Cannot wait to get mine.

I do hope JDM are doing a tune on the car, really be good to see what the gains are and with the car revved all the way to 7500rpm which with a tune is possible due to top speed limiter removal.

The standard correction numbers were 436RWHP and yes once the limiter is removed it will really make some good numbers. Ford definitely underrated the 18's no doubt about it.

Sounds about right. I know the 15-17 makes about 395 on the dynojet dyno.

Has the 5.0V4 been SAE certified yet? Like...does Ford say it makes 460Hp (SAE Net) in the adverts?

Even if it was 10% that would mean crank has to be like 470. If the engine is SAE then the tranny would have to be like 8% loss.

Great numbers, now all of the nay sayers saying it's a shop car can suck it. This was not a shop car and is consistent with prior dynos.

SAE has to be within 2% of rated. So 460X.02=9.20

So a crank rating of 450.8 and 469.20 would be within SAE certification.

1%

So its either:
8% loss
470HP engine, which is out of SAE spec
Or they advertise on the lowside of the SAE rating(465-1%) and this car is just on the upper 1%(465+1%)

Another option is the rating is on 87oct, and 93oct allows more timing???

Here is the video. He thinks he has a 500hp car

Also, at 8:20 when you are calculating crank hp based on a 16% power-train loss..."425*1.16"...are you guys for real??? That's like...third grade math.
