Ok guys, I thought I'd start a thread so we can vent, complain, cry, deny or anything else we might need to do to feel better about the recent performance of the new 2018 GT. I'm sure the moderators do not want any more negative front end comments but that's pretty much all we have at this point!

I'm not bothered at all. Going to spend my money (hah...) on a pick-me-up truck so I can tow my measly '16 to the track which opens the door for more go-fast parts.

2016 GTPP owner here; Lots of crybabies claiming that the recently released dyno figures aren't trustworthy and that the '18 doesn't produce anymore than the factory claimed 460hp and 420lbft of torque. I personally don't find 485hp and 440lbft worth upgrading, but at least I'm honest enough to recognize that the new engine puts my second gen coyote to shame.

I am certainly glad the 2018s got a bump in hp. But butt hurt? Nah. Not at all.

Even if I *did* like the new exterior, considering that I have a loaded and customized 2017 for less than what I'd pay for a loaded but stock 2018...I am quite happy with my "old and busted" model :D

Ya, I'm still happy with my "original" old girl but I can't stop thinking what I could turn with a bone stock 18 GT PP 6spd with my slicks bolted up. I'm hoping the 7g gets even more of a HP bump with some super sexy styling and less weight! I think I might be ready to upgrade sometime around 2021.

No butt hurt here.... I love my '16 and feel it will be easier to MOD... The direct injection is great BUT having to buy 16 injectors when moding the new '18 seems excessive. I also feel trying to get more power from them may be harder..

We will just have to wait and see what the outcome is, you never know, if they are harder to mod our 15-17's may become more desirable...

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

My butt hurts so bad after 5 weeks of ownership that I can no longer fart. Wait, maybe that's not S550 related. Kidding. I like my GTPP very much and I'm happy I traded a 3 month-old EB for it. No way I pay '18 prices considering how much I got for my trade and my out the door price.

Oooh the old 2018 versus 2017 deal.

Yeah I am quite familiar with this topic having started a forums war on the subject. No not butt hurt at all - Love my 2017 Mustang GT and enjoying every drive. Sure the HP/TQ numbers are impressive and a lot of nice features but its going to cost you a pretty penny. In the end I enjoy modding my car the way I want. And the initial cost was a big factor for me - plus not a fan of the front fascia. I still love the looks of the S550 2015-2017. :D

Ooooh man ....

I love the fact the new car is competition for those douchebags in Cameros!

No butt hurt here. The gen 2 Coyote responds to mods quite well...
:eyebulge: My future mod. :D

My 2017 GT PP with 401A is still $36,900. The 2018 Mustang GT is not $10,000 more in performance. This might change in two years, but not now.

Plus, Grabber Blue!
