Car broke down, in need of some help and opinions.

$20 filter + $40 fluid. The neck and top are plastic and can be cracked causing trans fluid pump starve and valving cant work if fluid has air mixed in.

That would be great, hope that's it. The shop has it now, Evolution Performance in PA. Should hear something tomorrow.

Just to update this, they think that it might be the torque converter.

Dropping the trans now, will update again when I know more.

Wow...they are moving slow to determine a cause...a week to tell you they think it's the converter?

Yeah they're pretty busy, since I had no appointment I cant complain. I originally came to this shop for a stock base dyno pull and they got me in within a week, whereas 3-4 shops closer to me told me 1-2 MONTHS.

So far they've been great since then. I think If i brought it to one of the other mustang shops near me, It'd be a month before they touched it. Lol

Can't wait to see the end result, but I'm a happy customer with them so far. Should get more details on it today.

Have you heard anything else on your car mine is doing the same thing

Dude your convertor broke,same thing happened to me under the same conditions.Put a stall and clean everything out real good.Quite a few guys have had this happen,definitely don't put a stock convertor back in.

This happened awhile ago now, I got the car back and it's been good.

The converter was the problem, put in a circle D to replace it and while the trans was out put in a billet Intermediate shaft and exedy clutches.

Which circle d did you put in?

Circle D Pro Stage 3 - 245mm 2C (3200-3400rpm stall)

As you can see in my signature I’m awaiting a pc d1x and sticking with my 5c. car is gonna be a monster!!! its being built now at pc and will be shipped to my tuner by the end of next week!

How do you guys like these circle d converters for street use? I'm assuming your tuners had to make adjustments?

They are just fine on the street.. and even better at the track!!!

Mine is only used on the street, the shop chose a low stall for this reason. It's been great on the street though, felt a little funny at first when it locks and unlocks but I'm used to it now. It actually drove mostly ok before the tune was adjusted but they revised it with some adjustments.

My tuner told me when i add the d1x because its power it will lock up earlier then it does now with my n/a set up! Currently it locks up about 3800 rpm & it has a mean holeshot when I flash it from a dig! its very well manored just driving around town. You barely even notice it just cruising! There are plenty of folk that are blown using 5c converters it will be an advantage over guys that are blown using the stock converter. With the right tires on a hot sticky day i should be able to lift the front tires off the ground a little bit!!!
