+1. I broke my engine in and changed my oil to Mobil 1 full synthetic at 1,500 miles. I drive the shit out of my car and have been changing it every 5,000 miles since then.

I usually change the oil after the first 500 miles of break in. After 500 miles on the odometer I change the oil then beat on the car.

Follow the manual that came with your car. They don't put it in there for no one to read it! Or do they?

Oil is up to you. You don't NEED full synthetic. You want it. Fyi, I'm running full synthetic in my boost just because I believe it helps the turbo last longer.
