Quik Latch- Bumper Fix

My bumper tabs broke and I tried everything.

I'm thinking of using a Quik-Latch. Any thoughts or ideas on this?

Anyone else have solutions with fixing the bumper?

Mine broke also . Tried belzona all that stuff and still nothin so my next step is the quick latch also ! Videos on you tube look easy and the threaded rod would fit perfect in the inner bumper bracket ! If I can't find a take off on eBay this is what ol be doin

For now, I just used 3M emblem adhesive to make it stick. I will use a Quik Latch on my next project and break the existing tabs!

My drivers side has done the same thing, must be an issue with these cars. Not sure what our options are at this point..........

These bumpers are terrible. I have seen guys pull theirs off once and they break. I tried Plastic welding to fix it and that broke. Also tried epoxy, that held for a week. Finally went with Quick Latch and couldn't be happier!!

I tried looking into those, couldn't find anything that actually worked, could you post a link to exactly what you did (threaded rod???)

I broke mine on the driver side as well. It didn't break off completely so I was able to use some ABS cement I had laying around on it. I just covered it up with a few coats and let it dry. By the time I had to put the bumper on, it was good as new. You could try doing the same but bonding a thing piece of abs as a new tab.

Thanks for this, mine broke (or was broken from the factory) in the same exact spot when I removed mine to install the big mouth. Fortunately I was able to put it back on with no issues but in case I ever have to remove it again, I'll be sure to use some ABS cement before reinstalling :thumbsup:

Great fix and video!! Do they sell them in different colors I'm afraid on a white car that might stand out too much but then again I have a lot of blacks and maybe they might look good in Black

They've got black, blue, red, and silver but you can probably get it paint matched so it looks more like a strangely placed sensor or something.

What Nagare said. Most people paint match. Was easy with my black car lol.
