You're stil on a stock bottom end???? :hail:

I always knew these motors would be stout. Sure it's borrowed time but still!

The GT350 engine has a stronger block with no sleeves to crack and better rods and piston's than a 5.0L coyote, I wouldn't call it a ticking time bomb. Ford did say the motor was not built for forced induction due to engine harmonics of the FPC, and the 12:1 compression ratio, despite that many people are doing it and we haven't heard of one blow up yet.

I eagerly await the results!
My high MPH for the day was 165.50.
Boost at about 8psi for 850 HP.
Traction was non existent in 1-3.
Going thru the traps at about 8k in 5th gear..
Would like to break 170mph tomorrow, but not sure what tweaks to do to make that happen..

Did you have a rear drag radial set up to switch up to?

My 600+whp Procharged GT had zero traction with MPSS tires.

No, but will probably be investing in a set soon...

Vbox ? If you don't have one, somebody at the event will. See if you can borrow it for your runs and get the files.

So what traction control settings were you using? Was it spinning the tires with full traction control on?

Tony let me make a few passes in the car this weekend so I will try and answer some of the questions.

Traction is non existent in 1st and 2nd gear. We do not have a Vbox to record speeds with.

We basically just rolled off the line with light throttle in 1st to get the car moving and pedaled 2nd gear to mostly full power then hammer down in 3rd. That seemed to net the best results. We need better tires and taller rear gear for sure. We had trouble trying to shift the car fast so that was slowing us down as well.

Thanks again Tony for letting me thrash on your car some this weekend and congrats on the top speed Ford for the day!
