Found this label yesterday cleaning my exhaust tips. I assume it's the label PN for the exhaust. Has this happened to anyone? I wash the car twice a week. It was just laying there ready to fall out.

Update on the car: I'm blown away by this car. Absolutely love it. I don't track it or autocross, I just enjoy it on weekends. I have 1000 miles on her now and took her to 8k twice. The power beyond 5 and 6k is brutal.... it actually surprised me. I've checked the oil several times and it's still at the full mark after 1000 miles. Planning an oil change very soon.

Mods: Ceramic coating CQuarts
Formula one 15% window tint
JLT rock blockers
JLT oil separator
Escort 9500ix Platinum radar detector with blend mount
Shelby GT350 Lloyd's floor mats
GT350 license plate holder
Highlighted flat plane crank shaft silver on engine plate
Added red tape to the center of the steering wheel

Future mods: Redline hood struts
Zl1 addons rock guards
Red Ford Performance shift knob
JLT red coil covers
Airaid air filter- wish they offered a red one

The only issue I have is the damn brakes squealing. :frusty: Every freaking stop light with light pressure. The first 15 minutes it doesn't do it. Mine has squealed after the first wash day 3. I haven't tried bedding the brakes, I guess I'll try that. It bothers me, but it doesn't take away from the car. I still love it!!:headbang:

I saw that, assumed it was GT500 only... awesome! Thanks! Same dimensions?

I'll take your blue one as a finders fee! :D
LOL, I still have the original yellow one. I won't need one until spring... I'm guessing.

Thank you man!!!

Yeah no problem! At first i read it as you already having a blue filter. Tried to sneak edit that out before you read it.

I have light pressure brake squeal too. Ive tried to bed them, but still living with it. Only *problem* Im having so far is impulse control. Everything about this car is loud, and it wants to be wound out. Theres no flying under the radar

Agree, it's meant for the track, on the street it's difficult to find a location to stretch it out. I have waze app going and radar detector... not full proof, but it's better than nothing. Race Red and the loudness alone brings a lot of attention.

Glad to see all the enthusiasm you have for the car! As you've discovered the power plant is awesome.

Used to think my car would be 80% street 20% track. After a couple of events it now has been flipped; 80% track/autox and 20% street. Careful if you bring this car to the track because after experiencing it in the wild it's hard to dial back and domesticate it again.

Good point once you've experienced the car on a track then drive it on the street I bet it's hard to refrain from mashing it. This car wants you to hammer it! I plan to attend the track attack next year. From what I read, you learn so much more about the car.

Your brakes are going to squeak a bit for sure but absolutely bed them in regardless. Otherwise they'll be VERY squeaky.

Don't use light pressure. I usually come in hot and get on the brakes. Trust them, they will stop you fast.. .unless weather isn't good. Do that for a good amount of time and pretty soon the squeal goes away.

So, not having taken my GT350 to the track yet, is it even possible to bed them in without driving reckless? I suppose if I try at night, with no traffic around here...

Brakes can be bedded very well at normal speeds, but traffic is an issue. Need a mostly-empty road.

The pads on the GT350 are sort of magical - they work very well both cold and hot, retain enough bite to engage the ABS at 140+ mph even 30 minutes into a lapping session, and they are generally pretty quiet. Dust is the only downside. And they're pretty cheap, which is good because I get about 4 hours of lapping out of a set of fronts.

Anyway, because they bite like a track pad, I would guess one could bed them in like a track pad. On an empty road:
1) Put the car in 2nd gear. Accelerate to 60, and brake FIRMLY down to ~20 mph, then accelerate back to 60. Repeat 5-6 times quickly ... building heat in the brakes. You might feel the pedal response get better as you go through the stops
2) Repeat step 1, accelerating up to ~80-90 mph between stops. Again, haul it down firmly to ~20 mph, then accelerate right back up and repeat for 5-6 stops.

By the end of step 2, you'll probably be smelling good and hot brake pads. About 2 miles of straight country road is plenty to do this. If you do it at night, you may even see sparks flying off your pads.

When you're done, the rotors should have an even, dull, gray-blue layer of pad material distributed across it. If that layer looks splotchy, they're not fully bedded in.

If you're city driving you're just wasting pad material bedding your brakes in. The light braking required in town just scrapes off the bedded material.

Once you are done with step 2 above, you'll want to drive around a while with minimal braking to slowly cool the rotors. Personally, I've always stuck to step 1, but with these GT350 manhole covers, you probably need step 2 to get enough heat in them.

I made the mistake of ordering the JLT rock blockers. Waste of money.

I do have some rpidesigns flaps that I never put on my 1LE that I’m going to try and fit
