Well finally damaged my motor. Have not had a chance to do a compression or leakdown test yet. She still runs and drives just smokes a lot. Was hitting 18psi and shifting @ 8K running C85. This is on a stock motor besides CG and OPG.

This was at Runway Rivalry. Basically rolling start @ 60mph and finish is about 1500-1800 ft away. Here some videos for ya! The third video shows how much our hood raises and if you watch it to the end, will see some nice cars. The maroon Lambo hit 204.

What weight oil?
What was CHT at start?
Cold or fully warmed 185 for at least 20 min?
Sorry to hear. Crossing fingers for ya...
5w20 Amsoil
Fully warmed up second hit of the day. First one I smoked a 2018 Viper with paper plates.
CHT 190, Iat at 90, Oil temp 155. If i remember correctly.

You don't sound surprised. 8K is awful high to turn a stock motor even N/A. How much power were you making and for how long?

e85 and 18psi since February. About 2,000 mostly WOT miles. Didn't get the e85 to the dyno but assuming upper 800 lower 900. Depending on dyno

Very sorry to hear man, hope you're not down and out too long.

Very interested in the tear down, your symptoms do sound like bad rings, but I have also seen the same from a hole in the top of a piston as well as a cracked water jacket.

I haven't dabbled much in the e85 world yet but was always warned of washing down the cylinder walls with a too rich of a tune, losing lubricity, and having a ring failure.

My 04 cobra smoked just like that when I killed a head gasket due to boost. You may be lucky enough to just clean up everything and install a new set of gaskets and call it a day. Me on the other hand...I took that opportunity to build an aluminum beast.

I'll be down for a couple months. Motor build will take around 8 weeks. I will try to start the tear down this weekend. Also may have some "big" parts for sale. ;). I promise stage 2 will be killer.

And yes I know I was pushing well past the limits of the stock motor. Just hoped it would last until winter.

Whos building your motor?

I hurt mine in december. Was told in january that it'd be six weeks, well it was 12 weeks as of yesterday and my car still doesn't have a motor in it.
