I wonder if some of these could help us from europe to enable some missing lights..
I bet you're right and it probably starts with the below as a control.

Allow All DRL Choices:
726-45-01: xxxx 7Fxx xxxx

I dont know if this has been asked in this thread, but will forscan work with this adapter? Anyone here have it? It appears to be made by the same OBD MX people, just a hard wired connection

I can confirm that this one works with Forscan:

Here you go boys... let me know. This one was fun to figure out. I was previously restricted to low beams only and any other change would give an invalid configuration error in FORScan. Well this changes that...

Allow All Alternate DRL Options (Restrictions Removed - No Invalid Configuration Errors):

BdyCM (As-Built Modifications)

Allow All DRL Choices:
726-45-01: xxxx 7Fxx xxxx

Enabled DRL Selection:
726-50-01: XXxx

XX:

01 = Disabled / Parking Lights Only (See change below)
02 = Low Beams
04 = Front Fog Lamps
08 = Front Turn Lamps
10 = Dedicated DRL Lights (LED Light Bars/Strips) - Enables BCM DRL Outputs - C2280F Pins 36 (Right) and 40 (Left)
20 = High Beams
40 = Low Beams and Dedicated DRL Lights

Optional: Enable DRL Parking Lights:
Can be combined with other DRL options above
726-26-02: x1xx xxxx xxxx

Optional: Disable DRL Switchback w/Turn Signal:
726-26-02: xxx0 xxxx xxxx

On/Off for these is controlled from the Instrument Cluster DRL Control.

I know many of you change wiring and such to accomplish some of these which can be now changed in seconds... so enjoy!

I see someone copied this part into this page already to enable IPC control from the interwebs, but original source for reference: http://www.2gfusions.net/showthread.php?tid=4573&pid=85446#pid85446
Nice. Will have to try all those choices as soon as I receive my adapter.

True, but however we always need some rewiring. F.e. our turn signal has only two wires (ground and +12v for turning light) so even if we could enable switchback functionality, we don't have the +12v for drl\parking light.

Maybe could be useful to have the ugly drl (ours are embedded in fog lights :ninja:) to not go off when headlights are on.

jbailer DanMc85 Retroflect I want to disable the active noise cancellation. Actually on my car the current code for module 727-01-01 (active noise cancellation) is 9C50 BA00 441A. Do I change that to 9C50 B000 441A? Or like you all said previously I have to subtract 2 from A, which would make it an 8 and therefore the code would be 9C50 B800 441A? If that is the case, then if I want to enable it again, do I simply change the 8 back to an A?

I am a bit lost :shrug:

The later. You would change it from 9C50 BA00 441A to 9C50 B800 441A. I'm only going by what others have said though as I never got to test this. Having the Ford Performance tune disabled the ANC in a different place. I can't do any testing with it. I'm under the impression to disable ANC correctly, it might be 2 different locations that need to be modified. Hopefully someone that has done this can share their experience.

Thanks Joe. I will try that to see how it works. I know another member (EBM) in another thread who has already tested this and it seems to works fine.

Will keep you posted if you are interested.

Body Control Module (BCM):
726-16-02 x1x1 x1x1 x1xx - Enables control via IPC
726-21-01 xxxx xxxx x1xx - Enables control via IPC
So, to enable control via the IPC both modules have to be changed?

Only a single bit controls the fake sound - "the 3rd bit from the left" associated with that position. "A" in binary is "1010" so you change it to "1000" which is 8.

Anyone figure out how to change the rpm at which the tachometer changes color to red?

Thank for explaining the math behind it! :thumbsup:

Alright, I think I've got this figured out. I pulled 13 different cars with varying wheel/tire options. It's a little weird, but the math works.

726-12-01 xxxx 0827 xxxx - 0827 is 2087 when converted from hex to decimal. I believe this corresponds to the circumference of the rear tire in millimeters - BUT not the nominal diameter. Instead, it's a revolutions per mile kind of measurement. When figuring revolutions per mile, it seems like Ford is using about 96.7% of the actual circumference. I assume this is due to the car squishing the tire into the ground and other effects. Interestingly, Mickey Thompson has a chart converting tire diameter to revs per mile and their conversion factor seems more like 96.3%.
I want to change my as-built tire diameter hex data value for my Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S 315/35/17 drag radials. When I am at the drag strip I lower the tire pressure to 17psi. I wonder how much additional "squishing" factor there might be over the 96.7% circumference figure Ford is using?

Any ideas on how much additional "squish" factor I should consider with the tires at 17psi or what I should change the hex value to?

Mickey Thompson's website list the diameter as 25.9 inches and circumference as 81.4 inches for this tire. http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip/et-street-ss/

Mickey Thompson 315/35/17 website data:
Diameter: 25.9” / 657.859mm

Circumference MT website: 81.4” 2067.56mm
2067 x 0.967 = 1998.789
Hexadecimal Value: 7CE

2067 X β€œMickey Thompson squish" 0.963 = 1990.521
Hexadecimal Value: 7C6

What is the difference in using this software compared to having to buy a ids tool and renting that software.If u can flash bcm and pcm's without buying that ids tool i dont see why everyone would not be doing it this way.Hell u guys are saying u dont even need the j2534 pass through for making the changes u are making.

They both do the same thing for the most part, but the IDS tool is more user friendly I believe. The Forscan/ELM method requires doing math sometimes like for tire size changes, and manually changing bits where as the IDS has preset selections you just choose what you want and apply. For someone who is not computer savvy, Forscan might be a bit scary, but if you read the instructions on this thread, it is pretty easy to use. Just take a backup of your configs before you make changes so you can roll back if you run into any issues.
