Hi folks,
Had a couple of words with a local tuner that's into a lot of high HP performance cars. He's shown me his dyno, on which I plan to measure my GT350 as soon as the brake-in is over. Near the dyno sat a 1100HP Supra and a 1300HP GTR.
We spoke about alot of car stuff and we came into the oil discussion. He asked me what I bought for my car, knowing the brake-in will end soon. I said some Motorcraft 5W-50 and some Amsoil. He didn't say too much about Motorcraft but about Amsoil he only had bad words.
He said the was official distributor for Amsoil and used it with confidence a few years ago, till he saw that the oil did not leave the engines clean at said oil changes, and even saw thick rezidues on the engine oil pan, once checked. He than recommended me a new oil, named Torco. He said it's 100% made in USA, unlike Amsoil which he verified by the bar code and he traced it as being made in either Venezuela or Mexic.
Here are some pics of the Torco oil in question:
What do you guys think? Any opinions?
