Same here, nibbles when cold, gone when warm.

I had it changed at the dealer after my 1st HPDE track session to ensure it didn't get over heated, it looked great. I made sure the Ford friction modifier was added to the new Ford fluid. No change, nibble still there. (Diff oil got over heated - '15 has no temp sensor, Amsoil went in instead of Ford)

Looks like a MT82 fluid change to Amsoil, RP or BG is in my future...

I switched to the BG fluid, made major improvements overall but mine will still do the nibble when cold. usually on the 2-3 shift and the 4-5 shift. I've just learned to shift real slow in the morning and let the shifter fall into gear, I usually don't nip the gear change that way.

Funny enough, my 600 mile tremec t-56 magnum in my 04 marauder also has a 2-3 gear change nip when its cold.

If you use Amsoil in the MT82 make sure you use the "mixture". Straight synchromesh will not work.
What doesnt work about it?
I've been running straight synchro for 20k miles so far and it improved notchy-ness drastically

I use Royal Purple Syncromesh, it's what was available at my local auto parts store. Made a drastic difference in sound, when it's time to change it i am going to try the BG fluid which seems alot of people rave about, definitely would never touch the stock fluid again.

I believe this was actually designed in America (Getrag), then manufactured in Asia. There is a lot of overseas content on most American vehicles.
sticker on drivers window from factory states transmission from china.

It's to thin on its own. Even Amsoil will tell not to run it in the MT82. My first trans I blew out I feel had a lot to do with that. Ben recommends two parts synchromesh and one part 75/90wt synthetic (not sulfur). This increases the viscosity of it. The BG and RP products are already thicker.

Believe the getrag was designed in Germany but assembled in China for our platforms. Could be wrong.

Fluid change to BG and a Boomba shifter bracket seem to have done the trick for me. Very happy with the MT82 for now.

Yep, like I said, manufactured in Asia (where China is).

I actually work for a company who took over part of Getrag. When I bought my Mustang, one of the former Getrag guys told me that the development for the MT82 was done in the US. Taking that for face value, maybe he was incorrect, but he did tell me quite a few things about the trans. Seemed to be genuine.

Just stating that Ford confirms origin of trans with an actual sticker on the window. But thanks

Yep, we're saying the same thing.
