You are correct 555-8152
Yes, I would do the bumpstops as well run the short stack for this application.

Thanks,
Steeda Tech

Steeda Tech,

Got my springs on yesterday. They look sweet! Can't wait to see these and the adj pro action shocks/struts in action. Though based on what I have read in the thread, thinking of waiting on getting the rear shock mounts before starting installation.

It doesn't work. And unfortunately, this purchase will have to wait for a future paycheck despite the savings. Thanks for the heads up though.

Correct - it won't work on top the current sales.

Steeda Tech,

Thanks for the assistance. I bit the bullet and decided to go all-in with the Memorial Day sale. I just ordered all the items below, and look forward to installing and trying it all out on track!

Key factors in my decision were the adjustable shocks, adjustable sway bars, and the rear diff stiffening was all bolt-in and reversible.

Looking forward to F1 and Indy tomorrow, and I can stop thinking about this huge purchase! :faint:

How would these springs pair with the Ford Racing track dampers? Are non adjustables a no go with such high rates? My car is 95% daily but when I track I like to exercise the limits and I run r-compound tires.

The Ultralites seem to be too soft for r-compounds?

Suggest you PM SteedaTech on that question. At some point I'm sure Steeda has tested those dampers, maybe even dyno'd them, and could help you with some details.

If I remember right, you already have the Ford Racing dampers and don't want to spring for Pro-Actions right now. I SUSPECT that you will find your suspension to be underdamped (little harsh, especially over abrupt bumps/concrete road imperfections). Would probably be okay on track. I could be totally wrong but I'm extrapolating based off of what I've learned from people reporting using those dampers.

If you're doing your own work (and therefore not paying labor), you can always try them with the Ford Racing dampers and if you are happy with it, great, if you find you'd like a little more refinement in the ride, then get the Steeda adjustables later when you've accumulated a few more dollars in the "car parts fund".

I would agree with wildcatgoal on his assessment of the FRPP track dampers with the dual rate springs: a tad underdamped.

SteedaTech any input on the discussion above?
Slightly under dampened, you should be just fine.

Only slightly underdamped will probably ride a little better over many surfaces, though the car will move around a little more on its suspension than it would with damping matched for performance.

By one measure, best ride occurs with damping about 1/3 to 1/2 of the damping for best mechanical grip (why the OE damping on most cars is what it is and why you don't notice it going away with miles and use).

If you're sensitive enough to such things, you might be able to feel the difference in mechanical grip when you do upgrade the dampers. But it'd probably take an A-B pair of drives over the same test loop.
