So I got my car back from Finishline performance last weekend and I've been able to put almost 1k miles on it since then, and HOLY SHIT!!!! It's nuts!!! It made 507 on e85 and it's just a pure warlock IMO. My NA build so far consist of Cobra jet IM,ford racing twin 65 tb,PMAS intake,LU47 injectors, comp stage 3 cams, ATI damper, billet OPG,CS,kooks catted LT's,corsa sport catback,Lund tune,McLeod billet flywheel,RST clutch,McLeod braided clutch line, steeda short throw,DSS aluminum driveshaft,DSS 2000hp axles, and plenty of supporting suspension mods for the build. So what's next???? Port the heads and forged internals? Boost? Supercharged or turbo? I want more and I would like some feedback...what do you guys think?

Man I wish but CA and OR have strict emissions laws (I go back and forth between the two states). Full NA build is a tough sell for these states.

Port the heads, forged pistons and forged rods balance the crankshaft and bump the compression by one point up, sleeve the block. Use ARP head bolts. After you get through that you should be ready for boost upwards of a thousand horsepower if you chose to do so.

gearhead2685 I am strongly considering porting my factory heads! Do you think the gt350 heads are worth the extra money/will out perform the ported factory heads?

Just my 2 cents but the appeal of STOCK GT350 heads and keeping it "mostly" oem parts is why Id do GT350s they have came down in price a bit too. I swear ive seen them for about 3600 for the pair. IIRC thats about what say a set of JPC S3 heads run anyways.

Also if I could swing the cost check out the FRPP 5.2 alum sx build they did.

Its an auto 3.73 gear 5.2 block GT350 head CJ intake car that makes about 580hp. Id think with cams and more compression 600 NA is doable.

I know ford20 (Sean Wright) has his JPC built boss that makes over 600whp but good luck getting cam and head specs from him or JPC

Personally I'd say get the oem 5.0 heads ported and polished. Work with what you got. If you do it right, you wont need parts from other vehicles, and you'll have more money to burn on bettering the parts you already have. just my opinion.

gearhead2685 would you happen to have a link for that FRPP 5.2 alum sx build? Thanks!

ALL oem well rounded would be a kickass daily driver. I dont need....

1. a drag whore
2. a dyno queen
3. a buncha money in demolished blown up parts.

Id like to have a well rounded drama free "catalog" car if you will to just drive the hell out of and enjoy 1 pair of shredded tires at a time.

Nothing about that car is complicated.

GT350 heads would require Ford Racing cams or modified roller rockers from MMR to make stock cams work or standard aftermarket cams work in the GT350 heads. For most places a stage 2 port gets you 1mm bigger/oversized valves and flows well enough for 500+ N/A build.
