Rear tail light issues

Yesterday my left side blinker indicator was blinking super fast.. I checked all my lights.. and back driver side rear outer side light is dim and and not blinking like the other ones.. anyone else having these issues and what did they do to fix it?

I don't think these lights can be serviced so dealership will probably order you a whole new light under warranty.

What is the warranty on something like that because I'm well over 36,000 currently at 53,000 but I bought my car in july 2015.

I think once you get over 36k your warranty ends. It doesn't matter the years. I have never hit 36k in 3 years. I don't drive very far. But I plan on enjoying my '18 so maybe I will. Who knows.

But the dealership wrote down in my mustang that ___ happened before I hit 36k and if I had to get it fixed after I hit 36k they had it in their system.

Oh, well dang. If I were you I'd try to see what a dealership can do for you anyways. Parts like the tail lights should last a good while so it shouldn't fail in just two years. Otherwise I think they're $500each.

Mine was replaced under warranty

My bad, did not read the whole thread, just the first post. I would expect you would need to order another one, but probably will not be cheap... :(

Holy **** 867 dollars on rock auto seems like they would have made them serviceable! Ugh hopefully a few years from now they will go down say 700 dollars on one of the many mustang parts stores!

Yes it's ridiculous hopefully they will work with me even though I'm well over my miles if not hopefully there's a bigger problem that they can address and hopefully do a recall to help others.. I could just see people getting a ticket for tail light out .. not be able to get the ticket fixed because the tail light is so expensive.

mine was doing that then a week later the battery went dead repalced the battey no more problems

Yeah my outside tri bar .. it's very dim and flickers causing my turn signal indicator to rapidly blink

Yeah I would have the battery checked with all electronics and lights on it could possibly be a battery issue as kirk suggests. Leds usually last a long time. And a battery can effect these newer cars in crazy ways.

So when I hooked up my battery this morning after sitting all night it was at 68%... another check that I did was I unhooked both taillights and swap them ..it seems to be the taililght itself..must be a circuit board failure.. call the dealership and I'm out of my warranty just $130 for them to verify what I just verified

Maybe time to upgrade to these atrocities.

Whatever you do, don't pay $800-$1k retail cost when you can get them on eBay, car parts.com or LKQ for $400 or less per side.... deals are out there folks.
