Just a tidbit of info - a warranty claim for peeling paint on my R wheels was denied because of my decision to use aftermarket lugnuts and "over torquing" said lugnuts. Keep that in mind... Not at all happy with this baseless decision on Ford's part.

TLDR: proceed with caution

For my bronze wheels I have anodized blue nuts to match my blue strips. Take dis as you will.

But for reference my actual nuts are yellow. I'm just a ray of sunshine...and kimchi beef...who owns a 'Murica worthy armory...who grew up in rural Wisconsin...in a muscle car...actually I'm a twinkie.

WHAT?! You cannot be serious...try a different dealer. Sometimes you hit a different relationship manager through Ford Corp.

I tried a second dealer about 6 weeks later - the car has been flagged. I'm building my case before I revisit this a third and final time.

Here is a thought..... get some Oem lugs and paint them with some professional automotive paint. I wouldn't risk voiding a warranty on those wheels.
straightliner1 .... what were the lugs torqued to?

*EDIT* Sorry Tomster, I missed your first suggestion. I actually had a locking solution provided from a quality manufacturer, as I don't trust $10K to a single locking lug. As for torque - since I've heard some have issues with snapping lugs at 150, I stopped at 135 ft. lbs.

FP is selling the black GT Supercar lug nuts for about $200 for 20. Pricey, but they're OEM.
