Will the 72lb stage 2 whipple injectors support a swap to e85, or do I need to upgrade to larger ID1000's?

Thanks!

I have 1000cc d injectors and Lund states I would need a full fuel return system for an e85 tune. Hope this helps

I was told my my tuner than the 72lb injectors will not support E85. He said the 1050x will be enough to support a stock motor car. You will need a fuel system though. A BAP probably isn't going to cut it and most tuners are going to say no to it anyway.

A good option is to order the Beefcake special Whipple deal with the ID1050x injectors already.

what kind of fuel return systems are you e85 guys running? it's about that time for the upgrade for me as well and really don't know anything about fuel systems.

When I do something I tend to go all out. Doing it once properly is nearly always cheaper in the long run.

For me I went with the Level 2 triple pump Fore fuel system. This one was easiest to plumb in with my Whipple and supports as much hp as I want. I run one fuel pump from the factory wiring and the other 2 are wired through a Hobbs switch on the Fore FC3 controller. Honestly I'd just run the secondary pumps on a relay knowing what I know now although the FC3 is a clean setup.

Easiest fuel system is a GT350 pump, regulator, and -6 return line. Sai Li makes these systems drop in or you can piece your own together for a bit less if you know wiring/plumbing.

That's a dual pump, not single.

95+ would be the way to go....

If you plan to run E85 go right to the ID1050x’s. They are designed for use with E85 right from the start.
Those are a great injector... and well worth the $$$
Though I want to say that I have never had an injector issue with previous models running E85 for the last 10-13 years.
So if a person has a line on a set of older "1000's" or another brand.
I wouldn't be too scared.

(Meaning nothing related to the fuel, I have gotten some "bunk" injectors online from other vendors, and have seen LOADS of junk injectors from people that want me to tune their cars)

-6 is not worth installing. At least go -8
